Shooting in Monochrome

Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward. I started shooting with a Leica M Monochrom a few years ago. My friends said I was weird. Why would I use a digital camera, that only shoots in black and white, that’s only manual focus and that makes me take every other possible creative decision to make the photo my own? Well, I chose this path to be more present. To work harder to make every shot truly mine. To have a more difficult life and in so doing more reward. Sometimes the journey is more important that the arrival. The buzz I get from taking a shot is sometimes more valuable to me than seeing the print. These short films bring together different Leica photographers who talk about their own journey in photography.
